What made
you start with SRLA? Back in 1999 I started a 5K club in my classroom and took the top 5 kids to a race. After running
the LA marathon in 2000 on my own I felt lonely and then called up SRLA and asked if i could start the program at my
school. I was able to then run the 2001 LA marathon with my former students.
What subject do you teach? I
teach everyones FAVORITE subject :0) Algebra at Montebello High School.
What is the most important thing
your students learn from you? What my students learn from me: Knowledge is POWER
What are your
hobbies? Hobbies??? lets see running, reading and teaching.
What is your favorite spot in Southern
California? My favorite spot in Southern California is DISNEYLAND because it is the happiest place on earth :0)
Favorite place to vacation? I visit my favorite vacation place every year in December: Honolulu,
Hawaii i go to run the Honolulu Marathon.
Anything else you would like us to know? So far
all my graduating seniors have continued with their education and getting invitations to their college graduation is always
an honor.
