Start your journals! Keep track of your running. Write down information about your training. Keep track of your miles run and race times. Write down what you eat. Keep track of stuff you have to do. Make a habit of recording information each day.

How can I use this information? There are several ways this information can be useful.

- If you record how you feel after running you can figure out which foods don't agree with you before running.

- If you record miles and time you can see your progress as a runner. If you run on a regular basis you will improve each week. Keeping a journal will help to remind you of how much you have improved. If you stop running on a regular basis the journal will help to remind you to run, even during times like winter break when the team may not be able to meet.
